An independent, confidential and free counselling service is available to students of the University via Student Advice.
We refer students to ‘Park Practise’, an independent counselling service located at Greetwell Place, near Lincoln County Hospital.
The advantage of this system of referral is that access to the service is very discreet as it is located off-campus. Any information you disclose to Student Advice before a referral takes place will be handled sensitively and professionally in line with Student Advice’s Confidentiality Policy.
The practice is about 25 minutes walk from the University, but if access is an issue for you, it is possible to access counselling via telephone or e-mail. If you feel neither of these options are appropriate, please contact Student Advice and we will seek to make alternative arrangements for you.
Please speak to Student Advice for more information.
Bishop Grosseteste University students can access support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with Togetherall
Whether you want to speak to peers or a counsellor, there will be someone there every minute of every day. You can join a supportive online community that is totally anonymous, take part in a group course and take self-assessments.
Togetherall is a great source of support outside of normal office hours and means you can get support when our services are closed, including evenings, weekends and outside of term time.
Go to https://togetherall.com/en-gb/ to join with your BGU email address – it takes 5 minutes and you have immediate access to support.
