A BIT ABOUT ME – After taking a gap year to play sport and enjoy the sights of New Zealand, I moved to Lincoln to study Sport and Exercise Development at University. I then went straight into working in the fitness industry and worked my way through my qualifications from L2 Fitness Instructor NVQ to where I am now.
My working life has covered many other different roles including paperboy, kitchen assistant, crew member at McDonalds (NZ), stadium security steward (NZ), barman and car valeter, but this has definitely been one of my favourite places to work. A key contributor to this is the relaxed environment that we have in the Sports Centre combined with the opportunity to interact with a wide range of people on a daily basis. Delivering fitness classes as part of the job contributes to keeping me active and fit which helps towards playing sport outside of work. My main focus is on hockey but I also play cricket and football competitively as well as various different sports on a social basis. I like to play hard, train hard and party harder when the opportunity arises.

A BIT ABOUT ME – Don’t be fooled by first impressions, also known as ‘Killer Carla’ I am not afraid to make you work hard! I am welcoming, caring and discrete and truly love to be in the gym. I initially studied Sport and Exercise Science at Nottingham Trent University before qualifying as a Personal Trainer, giving me a solid understanding of the science behind training and physical change. Soon after qualifying, I started working at BGU Sport and Fitness Centre and have been here ever since and I love this job!
When I am not in the gym, I can either be found at home cuddled up with my cats, out horse riding, or enjoying a night out with my friends. I have a strong passion for exercise and 7 years’ experience of fitness, training and nutrition, so I’m sure I can help you achieve any goal you might have!
