Shan joined the School of Teacher Development as a Lecturer on a one year secondment in September 2014 and became a permanent Senior Lecturer within the School in September 2015. She is a qualified and experienced primary classroom teacher and Specialist Teaching Consultant. Shan has been a BGU Tutor since 2007 when she joined the University to establish in-house Specialist Learning Development provision for students with learning differences. Her background is in Psychology and clinical research, with a particular interest in neonatal psychology. She is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and contributes to the University’s BPS Accredited BA (Hons) Psychology programme, alongside her teaching in the School of Teacher Development.
Shan works full time as part of the TD undergraduate team, leading on Child and Adolescent Development and contributing to research, English, Art and SEN.
Shan is currently completing her final MA Education thesis. With BGU Academic Sponsorship and Research and Development Approval from the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust she is studying post-registration nursing praxis issues with staff at Lincoln County Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
