Dr Gianina-Ioana Postavaru has a background in health psychology. Before joining BGU in October 2016 as a Lecturer in Psychology, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in London (Birkbeck College & Middlesex University). She completed a dual PhD degree in social sciences and psychology at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (November 2014) and Loughborough University (December 2015). She obtained her undergraduate (2008) and Masters (2010) in Romania. She has received study scholarships in Europe supported by the European Commission (Germany, Belgium, Hungary etc) and Diaconia University of Applied Sciences /INTERDIAC (Finland and Czech Republic).
