Finding the right place to live is a very high priority for students when coming to study abroad, and our Accommodation Officer aims to make the transition from home to higher education in the UK as easy as possible. You can be confident that they will help you with any accommodation issues, throughout the whole of your course.
To make studying abroad as simple and as enjoyable as possible, accommodation is guaranteed for international students. We strongly recommend that you live in our on campus halls of residence, especially during their first year as we feel it helps students adjust to studying abroad and is a great way to make friends.
There are 217 on-campus rooms and two halls of residence. Constance Stewart Hall has shared facilities including kitchens, bathrooms and showers whilst our new build, Wickham Hall has each room being en-suite. All rooms have wireless technology which offers students the flexibility of using their own PC or laptop to access the University email account or the internet whenever they like.
Constance Stewart Hall
This building comprises of 91 study bedrooms split over 4 floors. Each room is equipped with its own washbasin, wardrobe, shelving, desk with chair and easy chair, 2 electric sockets and a double bed. The ground floor includes a fully accessible study-bedroom and accessible bathroom facilities for disabled students. Each floor is provided with communal kitchens with living areas, all fully fitted with microwave, cooker, fridge, freezer and communal seating. Bathrooms include a shower cubicle, full size bath and separate toilets.
This newly built contemporary en-suite cluster flats have 126 rooms in total. Each flat comes with 6 private en-suite study bedrooms and a communal kitchen living area. Rooms come with 3 electrical sockets, TV aerial point, built in wardrobe and drawers, desk with chair, easy chair, double bed with underneath storage. The kitchen and living areas are fully fitted with microwave, cooker, fridge, freezer, dining table and chairs, sofas and TV.
Off Campus Accommodation
Just a short walk from Bishop Grosseteste University is Crosstrend House Student Development, comprising of 73 en-suite studio rooms and 4 shared facility rooms, all finished to an extremely high standard providing you with all modern comforts and conveniences. Studio Rooms come with en-suite and kitchenette comprising of mini fridge, combination microwave and kettle. A communal kitchen/dining area also has a range of appliances and a game table and TV. The building has a launderette, plus CCTV and electronic fob entry system to main entrance doors. The rent is inclusive of utilities and wireless internet.
Accommodation in Lincoln
There are many pleasant privately-owned shared houses in Lincoln with accommodation situated around the attractive Cathedral Quarter and the city centre, all within a short walking distance to the University.
Our Accommodation Officer can provide you with a housing list of local properties, whose landlords are members of the City of Lincoln Student Accreditation Scheme. This Scheme is supported by Studentpad.
Please Remember: Do not sign a contract if you do not agree with any of the clauses or if there is anything you do not understand. The Accommodation Officer and Student Advice Team are available should you have any concerns and are available to read through your contract before signing.
