Dyscalculia is, very simply, where a person has difficulties with numbers and maths. The difficulties they can have vary from person to person and be related to the age / level they are at, e.g. younger children struggling to count or teenagers and adults having trouble with mental maths and accounts.
This one day course is designed to assist teaching and support staff of learners with Dyscalculia to enhance their ability to visualise numeric concepts. Through this course you will be able to:
- have a deeper understanding of the Dyscalculic impairments
- better understand the needs of learners with Dyscalculia
- create age and level appropriate interventions using a range of resources
- effectively intervene to empower the learners to enhance their ability to visualise numeric concepts
The fun and informative workshop will give you the tools to be able to understand the condition of Dyscalculia and be able to better understand the needs of your learners.
