The Chaplaincy and the BGU community recognises our shared responsibility for those less fortunate than ourselves and seeks to help individuals. We have a personal responsibility to have our eyes and hearts opened more fully to the needs and gifts of others. We offer opportunities to be involved in charitable and volunteering activities at certain times of the year, as well as to raise money and to show our concern and support at times of natural disaster, humanitarian crises, to engage in the work of Amnesty International etc.
In recent years we have raised money for Macmillan Cancer support, the Japanese Earthquake & Tsunami Appeal, the Children’s Society, Water Aid, Oxfam, Meningitis UK, Womankind, British Heart Foundation and Amnesty International.
