MA in Education
This is a part-time degree for teachers and other graduates in educational settings. The course provides a flexible programme of study centred around your work setting and is supported by University-based sessions. All projects and assessed work are designed to be of direct relevance to your workplace. On this course, you will meet like-minded colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds. Through interaction and reflection, you will gain new insights and perspectives.
University support is provided through MA weekends and tutorials that can be face-to-face, Skype or by telephone. Support materials are available on Blackboard – our virtual learning environment.
The MA in Education comprises 180 credits at M level; consisting of four 30 credit modules (usually assessed through 5000-word portfolios) and a 60 credit dissertation of 15000 words. You may already have previous M level credits from your PGCE. A module is usually completed in two terms and the whole MA can be completed from two years up to six years.
The cost is £735 per module for graduates of BGU (inclusive of 10% discount); and enrolment takes place in September, February and May before the MA weekend. The next MA weekend is 29th-31st May 2015.
