If an Enhanced Disclosure is a condition of your offer here at BGU, please read this page carefully to avoid any common mistakes which will slow your application process.
To meet your conditions for an Enhanced Disclosure, you will need to:
- Pay £44 for the Enhanced Disclosure application fee. Cheques are no longer accepted, only cash and card payment
- Undertake the ID and original document check at BGU (please read the information below to find out what documents you will need to bring with you)
- Complete the application following a successful document check here at BGU
The face-to-face ID and document check is a regulation of the Home Office.
Required and Accepted Documents
When attending a Document Checking Day or an Applicant Day, you will be required to bring the correct documents and certificates with you. To ease this whole process and to reduce any errors, please read this section carefully.
You will need at least ONE document from Category One and you will need at least TWO or more documents from Category Two.
|Category One Documents||Category Two Documents|
||Click here for the list of valid documents accepted for this category|
Please note: if you do not bring valid documents with you, you will need to come in again. Please ensure you have the correct documents and information before you attend. If you cannot provide one of these original documents or are unsure and have questions, please contact our Admissions Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Remember, if you would like to fulfil any other conditions of your offer, please bring original documents (along with a photocopy) with you during this time. These can include GCSE Certificates, Degree Certificates, references, or anything else we require from you.
If you have already brought in your passport as ID for your interview, we will need to see this again when you complete your DBS Check, so please make sure you have this available.
Please ensure any bills, bank statements are originals (not printed out from the internet) and are within 3 months of the date you attend the Document Checking Day / Applicant Day.
Submitting your Application for a DBS Check
Once you have completed your Document Check at BGU, you will receive an email asking you to complete your application. You only submit your application once. If the information is incorrect, the whole process will need to be completed again. This will include the payment of £44. If you do submit your application and later realise that you have made a mistake, please inform the Admissions Office as soon as possible on 01522 583658 or email email@example.com.
Failure to submit your application on time will affect your offer of a place here at BGU.
Following your submission, we would expect to receive your Disclosure electronically within 14 days. You will receive your DBS Disclosure Certificate through the post around the same time. If a conviction, caution or reprimand is present on the Disclosure, we will process this according to the Home Office Policy and will be in touch with you. The outcome could affect your offer of a place.
If you have any queries or questions relating to your application submission, please contact our Admissions Team on 01522 583658 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
