Student Ambassador Programme (STAMP)

The Student Ambassador Programme is a volunteering opportunity available to every student at BG, it rewards those students efforts with High Street Gift Vouchers.

What does the role of Student Ambassador involve?

The role of an Ambassador is threefold:

Supporting students and representing the University; Promoting Higher Education in general; Giving information and advice to prospective students.

As an Ambassador you will work closely with the Schools and Colleges Liaison and Summer Schools Team at a range of events throughout the year such as, Open Days, Interview Days, Campus Tours, Minibus Tours of Lincoln, Higher Education Events, Careers Conventions and visits to Schools and Colleges, answering email enquiries, Taster Days and Sixth Form Conferences. You can indicate on your application form whether you would like to become a Summer Schools Ambassador which is an opportunity for paid employment at BG.

Who can become a Student Ambassador?

We believe that the best people to talk about the University and higher education in general are those that are going through it, which is why this scheme is open to all our students. Whether you are a first year student or somebody in the final year of your degree, you all have something to offer... experience. We want to use your experience to help spread the word about BG.

What will I get out of becoming a Student Ambassador?

As a Student Ambassador you will work with students who are thinking about higher education or applying to BG. You will see your confidence grow as you inspire people to think about their future and you will really feel you are making a difference, your skills and knowledge will expand as you meet Student Ambassadors from other courses and year groups where you will share good practice along the way. STAMP is a great way to get involved at BG, Ambassador are widely known across campus for producing high quality information, advice and guidance and for being exceptional at promoting higher education and Bishop Grosseteste alike. It is well known that employers are looking more and more for transferable skills, experience and commitment. By being an Ambassador you are displaying all these qualities and therefore it looks great on your CV.
