Bishop Grosseteste University's Student Support Team provides the following range of services offering advice and guidance to prospective and current students, as well as graduates of the University:
Accessibility Support
for students with disabilities, specific learning difficulties and other access needs
Advice Service
providing generalist welfare advice and specialising in money advice
Counselling Service
available via an independent private practice to ensure confidentiality and discretion
Funding
including the Access to Learning Fund, the Bishop Grosseteste Bursary and the Bishop Grosseteste Discretionary Fund
Health
information about the latest public health warnings and advice
Students from Care
support for students from care, recognised by the Frank Buttle Trust
All Student Support services operate on a professional, non-judgemental and confidential basis. Our team will handle any information you disclose in an appropriate and sensitive way, in accordance with data protection legislation.
We have a wealth of experience of assisting students in higher education and we are committed to the continual development of our skills and resources.
How to find us
We are located on campus, to the left of the main foyer in the library building, and our opening times are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. If these times are not convenient for you please contact us (for contact details click on the link above) and we can discuss alternative arrangements. We will always try to deal with your enquiry at the earliest opportunity: immediately if possible, though sometimes it may be necessary for us to arrange an appointment with you.
