Bishop Grosseteste University's Student Support Team provides the following range of services offering advice and guidance to prospective and current students, as well as graduates of the University:
for students with disabilities, specific learning difficulties and other access needs
providing generalist welfare advice and specialising in money advice
available via an independent private practice to ensure confidentiality and discretion
including the Access to Learning Fund, the Bishop Grosseteste Bursary and the Bishop Grosseteste Discretionary Fund
information about the latest public health warnings and advice

All Student Support services operate on a professional, non-judgemental and confidential basis. Our team will handle any information you disclose in an appropriate and sensitive way, in accordance with data protection legislation.
We have a wealth of experience of assisting students in higher education and we are committed to the continual development of our skills and resources.
How to find us
We are located on campus, to the left of the main foyer in the library building, and our opening times are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. If these times are not convenient for you please contact us (for contact details click on the link above) and we can discuss alternative arrangements. We will always try to deal with your enquiry at the earliest opportunity: immediately if possible, though sometimes it may be necessary for us to arrange an appointment with you.
Matrix Quality Standard
In 2009, Student Support was awarded the Matrix Quality Standard for its advice and guidance services and the following strengths were identified:Extremely high quality support offered to students Effective and confidential systems for handling student enquiries High quality written and electronic information available to students A commitment to continuous development and improvement of services
