The research degrees offered through the University College are validated by the University of Leicester and are controlled by the Code of Practice for Research Degrees and the Regulations Governing Research Degrees.
Applicants for studentships at Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln should have a good first degree (upper second or first class honours or equivalent) and preferably a master's award in a relevant discipline.

Applicants for the studentships must intend to register as full-time students and must not be in receipt of any other award. They must be resident within the UK during the period of their registration at an address within daily travelling distance of the University College campus, and will be expected to attend the University College regularly and to maintain close contact with their supervisor. Studentships are offered for one year in the first instance and, subject to satisfactory progress, will be extended for up to a further two years. Students must normally complete their research within three years. A maximum of one year (unfunded) may be available for writing up. |
