Masters Level Awards
The Masters programme at Bishop Grosseteste University College can be followed by anyone engaged in teaching-related activities. The routes to these further, high level qualifications have been developed to enable education-related professionals (including TAs, teachers and lecturers) who already have degree equivalent or QTS (with teaching experience) in schools, colleges, early years, special units etc. to access higher qualifications linked to Continuing Professional Development.
The full Masters programme is tiered into three levels, each comprising two 30-credit modules; the first two modules you take (60 Credits) could gain the Certificate of Professional Studies in Education (PG Cert). If you continue with two more modules (120 credits) you could gain a Diploma in Professional Studies in Education (PG Dip). The final double module (to make 180 credits) could gain you a Masters Degree.
Tutorial support and guidance is included in the programme; on researching and implementing your CPD action and on writing up your analysis. Click here to view a typical MA module weekend schedule.
