Overview

Do you have the commitment, ambition and organising skills to work in school and study to gain Qualified Teacher Status?

The GTP offers a way of qualifying you while you work in a state-funded school as an unqualified teacher. This programme suits those who want to change to a teaching career and need to continue to earn whilst they train. The training is tailored to suit individual needs.

Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln is recognised by the Training and Development Agency as a GTP provider. This means that we can accept direct applications from GTP candidates who wish to work in one of our partner schools. The University College can provide elements of the training and can verify that other aspects of professional experience and training in school have been covered.
