Welcome

Debate one of the most exciting and controversial subjects: Education. Complement this with your passion for Music. Together you have a challenging, flexible and rewarding combination that provides a superb, in depth and reflective preparation for a career in education or teaching without committing you to a particular age group or area.

Education

The Education strand has pathways through it for those wanting to pursue careers in primary, secondary, post 16 and informal educational settings. If you aren't sure what sector you want to work in yet, then you can sample them all!

Music

The Music components have been tailor-made for someone wanting to pursue a career in education whilst studying and developing higher level skills and knowledge in the subject you are already familiar with and enjoy. In Music you will study individual and collaborative performance from a variety of genres linking directly with understanding of how other musicians, performers and composers perceive and create in music. This can be combined with an exciting investigation into how important music education is and the innovative and creative ways that education in music can be shared. There is an emphasis on an imaginative and purposeful way to study and enjoy music which addresses the wide variety of skills and knowledge that incoming students have experienced.
