Debate one of the most exciting and controversial subjects: Education. Complement this with one of the most important curriculum areas: Mathematics. Together you have a popular, flexible and rewarding combination that provides a superb, in depth and reflective preparation for a career in education or teaching without committing you to a particular age group or area.
Education Studies
This has pathways through it for those wanting to pursue careers in primary, secondary, post 16 and informal educational settings. If you aren't sure what sector you want to work in yet, then you can sample them all!
Mathematics
This is no ordinary maths course! We aim, not only to develop your mathematical and practical skills, but to share our enthusiasm and to help you inspire the next generation. The course provides opportunities for you to choose between becoming a specialist teacher of mathematics in secondary school or a primary school teacher with potential for subject leadership. The choice also exists to study mathematics at undergraduate level, without further commitment to teach.
