Welcome
Heritage Studies is for everyone with a passion for the past and anyone who want to learn how to understand and communicate it. Our Heritage Studies Programme is unique because it has been designed to develop a strong theoretical knowledge of the past alongside the practical and professional skills needed to pursue a career in the Heritage sector. You will learn about the history of landscape, art, architecture, design and furniture. You will also learn how to interpret manage and communicate this shared inheritance through archaeological digs, museum exhibitions and live re-enactment events. Throughout the course you will engage first hand in live heritage projects and visit some amazing heritage sites. You will have the opportunity to:
- Play an important part in a live archaeological excavation;
- Put on a first class public exhibition;
- Travel to key heritage sites, locally, nationally and internationally;
- Explore behind the scenes at sumptuous stately homes and magnificent castles;
- Work alongside heritage professionals and hone your skills in conservation and interpretation.
