Welcome
We are proud to be able to tell you about our well established foundation degree for learning practitioners which has been steadily growing in numbers since the first cohort were welcomed in 2002. Since that time the range of settings represented has increased fully embracing the depth of student experience.
So, if you would like to :
- enhance your professional skills and understanding;
- plan for your own continuing professional development and gather evidence towards Higher Level Teaching Assistant Status or the Preparing for Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualification;
- lay the foundations for studies to honours degree level;
- begin study which can lead to Qualified Teacher Status;
- study teaching and learning strategies while developing an understanding of National Curriculum subjects and their application.

The flexible structure of the Foundation Degree is designed to include work-based learning so that you are able to continue in employment through the course. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of experienced academic staff during campus-based sessions once a week.
