Welcome

We are pleased to be able to tell you about our well respected foundation degree for early year's practitioners, a course that that allows you to study and continue to work. The FdA in Children's Services is a flexible qualification covering the broad range of settings and contexts in which services are provided for 0-8 year olds. It provides a unique learning opportunity as you will study alongside students working or volunteering in a variety of children's services from pre-schools and children's centres to youth and community projects. Our approach ensures you develop the specialist skills required for working in early years services, gain a higher level appreciation of child development and can operate confidently within inter-agency settings.

The Foundation Degree also provides a basis for progression to BA (Honours) and beyond……

So, if you would like to:

  • study the development of children and children's services at degree level;
  • extend your knowledge of practice that supports families and the wider community;
  • improve your professional skills and understanding;
  • lay the foundations for studies to honours degree level;
  • gather evidence towards registration for Early Years Professional Status
